mynetta_great_job_NYTS sends its deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Sam Lilly on his passing. Sam was a graduate of the College of New Rochelle School of New Resources campus at NYTS when we were together on 29th Street. He was a courageous scholar who embodied wisdom. He continued to work with NYTS after he came on the staff of the College of New Rochelle School of New Resources in the Bronx. He was at NYTS regularly, working with our Certificate program in a spirit of true collaboration.

Professor Lilly was also part of QKingdom family along with Bishop Sylveta Hamilton-Gonzales and others. We hold that faith community up in prayer as well.

Sam was a brilliant light in this universe. We remember his soft voice, his dreads shaking back and forth, and his fierce ability to analyze a situation and get to the heart of the problem, and his unrelenting commitment to and love of African religious culture and life.

He is with the ancestors. May his soul rest with God.
