The Faith Center For Community Development, Inc., (FCCD) is a nonsectarian, nonprofit consulting, investment and development firm providing expertise and resources to faith-based community developers. FCCD helps corporate and business partners access new and emerging markets for their financial services and products, and provides assistance in identifying and evaluating new community-based business partners for mutually beneficial strategic alliances. Its mission is to build on the unique strengths, resources and assets of religious institutions and faith-based organizations (FBO) especially in underserved communities to help create and sustain thriving neighborhoods. FCCD works with a diverse range of faith-based community development organizations to enhance their knowledge of community development, develop a voice in public policy and encourage partnerships with funders and financing institutions. It also provide capacity building and development assistance to faith-based community development organizations to facilitate and manage projects that create affordable housing and commercial development.

Founded in 1997 by the Rev. Dr. Fred Lucas, the Center has become one of the nation’s leading institutions in the promotion of faith-based enterprise and community development. In 2008 it moved its administrative offices from Wall Street, where it had been located since its inception, into New York Theological Seminary in Suite 500 at The Interchurch Center in New York.
