In this era of relentless globalization, the agenda for urban churches is rapidly changing. Every urban church is now part of the “global city”– through its congregation, its neighborhood and the larger economic and political context of the city itself – and President Obama has challenged each of us to expand our horizons, engaging in a global conversation to understand the ways in which our local actions are impacted by and in turn affect the new global city. We invite you to join prominent scholars and church leaders for a conversation over two and-a-half days, deepening your understanding of the impact of the global community on your faith, discerning the desperate need for justice in the global city and planning action in your church and community.

Attending this conference will:

  • Raise your awareness, understanding, and interpretation of urban-global realities.

  • Allow you to explore the globalization issues of your city.

  • Spark your imagination and foster partnerships and action.

  • Give you access to stakeholders in urban global connections across the fields of Religion, Academics, Finance, Public Polity, and more...
