As Co-Chairs of
The Campaign for New York Theological Seminary, we are pleased to announce that the Seminary has reached the $12 million mark towards our goal of $14M. This announcement was made at the Sixth Annual Urban Angel Awards Gala of the Seminary on April 21, 2009. Thank you to everyone who has participated thus far to help us get closer to our final goal. And most of all, To God be the Glory!
This initiative represents the Seminary’s first major comprehensive campaign effort. At the 2008 Gala, we were pleased and proud to launch the public phase of the Campaign where we announced that we had received pledges and cash totaling $10M.
The
Campaign's goal is to secure the future of the Seminary for years to come in three fundamental ways. First, we need to expand the
Annual Fund so that the Seminary’s operations remain sound. Second, we need to strengthen
Specials Projects and Initiatives, such as the Resource Center for Women in Ministry, the Center for World Christianity, and the Center for the Study of Urban Religion, so that the Seminary stays vibrant. And finally, we need our
Endowment and Scholarship Funds to grow so that we can secure the best faculty and keep tuition rates affordable.
Please join us in becoming
3 for 3 Givers by giving to each of the categories outlined above or make a general gift or designate one for a specific purpose. Be assured that each and every gift will be properly acknowledged and used wisely.
As Campaign Co-Chairs and Trustees of the Seminary, we enthusiastically encourage your support for this historic Campaign. New York Theological Seminary is a community of rigorous scholarship and deep caring, passionate faculty and staff, dedicated students, committed Trustees, and collaborative partner churches. And we have seen up close how the Seminary meets changing demands of our global society while simultaneously helping to transform individual lives, churches, and ministries.
New York Theological Seminary is an institution worth the investment of our time, energy, and financial resources. Please join us in this important effort! Thank you in advance for your prayerful support.
