MINISTERING TO PERSONS WITH EARLY-STAGE ALZHEIMER’S AND OTHER DEMENTIAS

 

ONE DAY COURSE-ONE CREDIT

 

FEATURING:

  • Jed A. Levine: Executive Vice President, Director, Programs and Services, Alzheimer’s Association, NYC Chapter will help chaplains understand the special issues of early-stage dementia, within the continuum of the disease, and provide information about the resources and programs available to assist those individuals and their families.
     
  • Paulette Michaud, Director, Early Stage Services, Alzheimer’s Association, NYC Chapter will facilitate A First Person Experience-Dialogue with a Person with Early-Stage Dementia and Their Care Partner.
     
  • Rev. Dr. Martha R. Jacobs, Associate Director, Community Education and Outreach, HealthCare Chaplaincy will lead an interactive discussion with the participants on the challenges and opportunities in ministering to those with early-stage Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
