Dr. Hill is responsible for the Office of Admissions and Recruitment for all NYTS programs. She also assists prospective students and current students with vocational discernment, to help them understand their call to ministry, and how NYTS can assist them in reaching their goals. Dr. Hill is also responsible for the care and concern of the current and prospective students under the auspices of Student Services.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and raised in the Bronx, N.Y. She attended the City College of New York where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and a Master of Arts degree in Language and Literacy. Dr. Hill also received a Master of Social Work from Fordham University, and a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from New York Theological Seminary. She is the recipient of the Award of Excellence from the United States Coast Guard, African American Awareness Committee, The Eleanor Moody Shepherd Resource Center for Women of Faith, Ida Mary Vandross, A Woman Called by God to Continue Living on the Front Line Beyond her Losses award, NYTS, Childs Israel Scholarship-For women who are dedicated to pursuing a theological education at NYTS, by combining her studies with a focus on “God, family and the greater community”, The Olive Tree Bible Software award for assisting colleagues with their online studies, NYTS. Her personal project is the “NIA Project” (A project with a purpose), to create a transitional home for children aging out of foster care and homeless youth. Dr. Hill also serves as a mentor to adults and young adults.
