Rev. Lin is the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Research at New York Theological Seminary. Dr. Lin brings over two decades of faith-based leadership and over a decade of experience in higher education. Previously, Dr. Lin was a Research Scholar at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia where he also served other roles, including the Managing Director. He oversaw multiple research projects including a Louisville Institute-funded project titled Race and Faith in Community and Churches. His own scholarship focuses on race, ethnicity, immigration and religion. His book, Prosperity Gospel Latinos and their American Dream is forthcoming with the University of North Carolina Press in 2020. Dr. Lin was born in Taiwan, grew up in Argentina and later immigrated to the United States. He is fluent in many languages and cultures.
