Mentoring for Thriving at NYTS

New York Theological Seminary with support from the Lilly Endowment is engaged in a multi-year project on “Mentoring for Thriving in Urban Ministry.”  As part of the project we have introduced mentoring into all pastoral degree programs.  Students have one-on-one mentors assigned to work with them for up to two years.  We are also teaching students how to be mentors to others.  Our goal is to help current and future pastors thrive in urban ministry by increasing the effectiveness of mentoring in their ministries.
