LIFE Camp Inc. is currently seeking an Administrative Coordinator:

 

Description

The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining office operations and systems in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, carrying out all organizational bookkeeping responsibilities, ensuring proper procedures are followed, and providing documentation necessary to pass annual audit. The Administrative Coordinator will report directly to the President/CEO and ensure that the organization stays on budget and financially
efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day LIFE Camp administrative tasks: accounts payable and receivable,invoicing, fiscal oversight of programs and campaigns.
  • Manage LIFE Camp’s timekeeping system to track staff attendance and payroll
  • Develop a system of recordkeeping for program performance indicators and maintain timely and accurate submission of data and monthly program reports to DOHMH.
  • Data entry and other reporting, as required
  • Ensure staff participation in trainings
  • Maintain staff calendaring, calendaring of community events, training
  • Ensure efficient office operations: supplies, facilities maintenance, equipment
  • Other duties, as assigned, to provide administrative assistant to the President/CEO, Program Manager and Outreach staff
  • Research grants and support fundraising success

Qualifications

  • Professional administrative and operations experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
  • Ability to work independently, set goals and priorities, and accomplish numerous goals in a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexible scheduling and ability to work nights and weekends
  • Occasional travel and event attendance

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bookkeeping, office management, and administration skills
  • Financial administration experience, including general bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and IRS reporting
  • Experience with database management, including use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and Quickbooks
  • Support for LIFE Camp’s mission to end violence and promote peace in Queens, NYC
